From April 9th to April 13th, the 4th China (Guangdong) International Printing Technology Exhibition (Print China 2019) in Dongguan came to a successful conclusion. - Kaiyin Technology's booth was particularly eye-catching and brilliant.

Visitors flocked to inquire about Kaiyin Technology's comprehensive pre-press and color management solutions (digital pre-press solutions, color measurement and closed-loop systems, color consistency solutions, G7/GMI printing standardization and certification). Are you eager to learn about the highlights of the exhibition? Let's review the wonderful moments of Kaiyin Technology's booth at Print China 2019 together~

  Color Measurement and Closed-Loop System

At this exhibition, Kaiyin Technology provided visitors with a demonstration of a full-process color management solution. A complete solution was offered, encompassing software processes, hardware equipment, and technical services. Visitors engaged in lively human-computer interaction with the system, and professional color management consultants provided consultations and assisted visitors in solving problems encountered in actual production.

  One instrument, unparalleled flexibility: The eXact Auto-Scan multi-purpose scanning solution brings greater flexibility to printers' work in the pressroom, including the option to choose single-point, manual, and automatic scanning functions for color measurement. The eXact spectrophotometer/densitometer performs single-point measurements, providing the necessary basis for press control color. The icPlate2 plate measuring instrument provides a reference for pre-press dot gain control and curve creation. The i1 for curve creation, and the closed-loop control system for improving efficiency and quality can be connected to the printing press to create curves for each ink key and ink presetting, and through closed-loop control, ensure that each sheet accurately reaches the G7/GMI/PSO or the printing plant's custom target;

Designers can see the actual producible colors at the initial design stage and can pre-estimate the cost of producing these colors.

Brand managers can better plan product launch processes and avoid sales impacts due to color issues.

Quality control departments can conduct online approvals, saving significant travel costs.

Factories can conduct real-time quality control, significantly reducing waste due to color problems.

Help brand owners and their supply chains clearly discuss production costs, thereby achieving a win-win cooperation.

A constant stream of visitors toured the on-site demonstrations and engaged in discussions.

   Digital Pre-press Solutions

Pre-press plays a crucial role in the entire printing process. It is both the reproduction of design inspiration and printing dots, and it can also compensate for changes in the printing press's status through dot curves. Accurate dot reproduction is crucial!

Kodak Prosper Q800: Not only is it stable and reliable, but it is also energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, while also possessing first-class imaging technology, helping customers achieve high-resolution printing and enhance market competitiveness.

Kodak Prosper Q1600: Currently the best value-for-money large-format CTP, it is the best choice for wide-format printing. Precise components, stable mechanical structure, and square dot patents jointly interpret Kodak CTP's perfect dot reproduction and ensure the accuracy and stability of large-format plate making.

Kodak Prosper Q800: Equipped with Kodak's square dot imaging technology, it features a fully integrated punching device. It eliminates tortoise shell patterns, improves image fidelity, and ensures consistency of tone and color in printing.

Kodak Sonora XP Process-free Plates: The plates combine the high performance of wet-processed plates with Kodak's market-leading process-free technology, creating plates that rival processed plates in terms of print volume, imaging speed, operational durability, and resolution, helping printing companies achieve more sustainable and profitable development!

Kodak Prinergy Platform: With automated pre-press workflows, pre-press network collaboration software, and pre-press editing software (trapping, pre-bending, file comparison, barcodes, etc.) working together, the Prinergy platform's intelligent imposition function, unified color management, ink optimization, and soft proofing can fully meet customer requirements. The platform also has broader digital connectivity, providing cloud storage and data analysis services.

  Color Consistency Solutions

Using GMG OpenColor not only improves image printing quality but also reduces the time spent on pre-press preparation. Pre-press preparation that previously took hours can now be easily completed in minutes!

Do you have customers who urgently need physical proofing on actual production materials? Or, when customers ask you for physical samples, can you only conduct expensive on-press proofing? At this booth, you will see a physical proofing solution combined with Epson printing. You will find that physical proofing has never been so easy, and color reproduction has never been so accurate!

Have your major clients ever asked you to provide legally binding printing contracts? Take a look at the industry's highest-quality standard proofing paper and related GMG proofing software we offer!

  Printing Standardization and Certification Services

Under the international standards environment, the printing industry also needs standardization, and various certifications that meet production and customer needs have emerged.

At Kaiyin's booth, printing professionals showed great interest in related printing color standardization certifications. Our G7 experts actively participated in on-site training—answering questions and providing professional education. During this time, visitors frequently nodded, understanding and grasping more about relevant industry development trends.

Certification is not just a certificate; most importantly, it helps companies achieve precise production and improve printing quality. Only by ensuring the stability of measuring equipment, CTP equipment, printing equipment, and the production environment, while using the correct control methods, can the process achieve its maximum effectiveness.

G7 Certification: G7 is a color correction technology promoted by the International Digital Enterprise Alliance (IDEAlliance) based on gray balance control to achieve ISO printing standards. G stands for gray, and 7 represents the seven basic colors CMYKRGB, where CMYK are primary colors and RGB are secondary overprint colors. The core of G7 is to define gray based on paper and define the Neutral Print Density Curve (NPDC), ultimately achieving a shared visual appearance.

GMI Certification: This is Target's designated professional evaluation of packaging suppliers and continuous measurement of packaging samples. GMI Certification is responsible for establishing and operating a professional website, storing all packaging data, and providing reports to Target, product suppliers, and certified packaging suppliers through relevant channels.

  On-site promotional activities

At this exhibition, all instruments and software displayed at the Kaiyin Technology booth were offered at special on-site discounts, unlike previous market discounts. Visitors, experiencing the simplicity and efficiency of the instruments, enthusiastically participated in the event, resulting in numerous on-site orders.

Meanwhile, X-Rite's new product, "eXact Auto-Scan," made its debut! The demonstration of eXact Auto-Scan attracted a constant stream of visitors, receiving widespread praise. Many visitors directly placed orders at the exhibition, commending the eXact Auto-Scan's flexibility and accuracy for increased production efficiency.

In addition, Kaiyin Technology responded to X-Rite's "trade-in" special promotion; returning old equipment allows for savings of up to ¥6000. Many visitors, after learning about this, indicated they had several old instruments to return for the discount.

Finally, additional gifts were offered on-site. Visitors who stopped to inquire and learn received a complimentary gift.

DeltaOne Rotary Online Scanning – Real-Time Color Inspection

What do printing plants dread most? Downtime. Each shutdown wastes at least 100 meters of material. Whether it’s for color measurement, color adjustment, or final confirmation, by the end of the day, the time spent idling often exceeds the actual printing time.

Mismatch between screen and printed sheet colors? Kaiyin lets the solution do the talking.

What’s the one thing a printing shop dreads most? “I think the color is off. You spent the whole afternoon tweaking it on the screen, but the client says it’s out of color. You even approved the proof, yet the printed result still doesn’t match. The screen shows one shade, the prepress proof shows another, and the final print ends up looking completely different.”

How do you interpret spectral curves? Three tips to decode the “data code” behind color.

The most common phrase you’ll hear in a print shop is, “This color just doesn’t feel right.” Yet the very word “feeling” is precisely what color management seeks to eliminate. Whether a color is accurate shouldn’t be left to intuition—it should be determined by data. And at the very foundation of all color data lies the spectral curve.
